What We Do

sealifepark

To further its charitable aims Alohohawaiionipaa.org supports projects that keep Hawaiian culture alive as well as providing employment and sustainability.  One such project would be the proposed restoration of a Makapuu Fishing Village in Waimanalo on the island of Oahu near present Sea Life Park. It was a place where an ancient fishing village thrived with its culture, values and principles practiced by the people who were fishermen/farmers and healers and lived and worked together in the ahupuaa of Waimanalo, keeping the traditions alive.  This project has been on the drawing boards for over 30 years and needs your support as well as the support of the State of Hawaii to be resurrected. Another project would be the establishment of a true Hawaiian Cultural Center Village in Waikiki operated by native Hawaiians. We have many dreams. Together we can realize them.
